Watch YouTube Kids on the web
You can watch videos on YouTube Kids on the web at www.youtubekids.com. You must be a parent to set up YouTube Kids.
Get started on YouTube Kids on the web
- Go to www.youtubekids.com on a web browser, and follow the on-screen prompts..
- Enter the year you were born to verify your age.
- Choose whether or not to sign in to get greater access to features and parental controls.
If you choose to sign in
- If you already have an account on your web browser and want to sign in with that account, select it and tap “Sign in”.
- If you don’t have a Google Account you wish to use, add a new Google Account by following the prompts. After you add your account, tap “Sign In”.
- Review and agree to important privacy terms for YouTube Kids. If you agree, click “Next” to enter your password.
- If you haven’t already, create a profile for your child.
- Choose a content experience for your child. You’ll be presented with a dialog with more info about your selected content level. Click “Select”.
Content experience
Preschool (Content recommended for ages 4 & under): Kids can watch videos that promote creativity, playfulness, learning, and exploration. Our systems work hard to exclude content not suitable for kids in preschool, but not all videos have been manually reviewed. If you find something inappropriate that we missed, you can block it or report it for fast review. Search results are limited to content recommended for kids 4 and under.Younger (Content recommended for ages 5—8): Kids can explore their interests and search for a wide variety of topics, including songs, cartoons, crafts, and more. Our systems work hard to exclude content not suitable for young kids, but not all videos have been manually reviewed. If you find something inappropriate that we missed, you can block it or report it for fast review. Search results are limited to content recommended for kids 8 and under.Older (Content recommended for ages 9—12): Allows kids with growing independence to search and explore additional music videos, gaming, family vlogs, science, and more. Our systems work hard to exclude mature content, but not all videos have been manually reviewed. If you find something inappropriate that we missed, you can block it or report it for fast review. Search results are limited to content recommended for kids 12 and under.If you want more controls, such as approving content yourself, download the YouTube Kids mobile app.
- Select if you want to turn Search on or off.
- You’ll now take a parent feature tour of the YouTube Kids app. The tour will help you find parental controls settings, how to block and report videos, and how to view what your child has watched.
- When you’re finished, click “Done”.
If you choose not to sign in
- If you choose to continue without signing in, select “Skip” on the sign in page.
- Review and agree to important privacy terms for YouTube Kids. If you agree, click “I agree”.
- Then, choose a content experience for your child:

YouTube Kids mobile app and YouTube Kids on the web
While www.youtubekids.com is similar to the YouTube Kids mobile app, a few options in the mobile app are not available on the web:
