BuzzFeed Inc.'s Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Council leads company-wide initiatives that help to cultivate an environment that enables employees to bring their authentic selves to work and that ensures our internal processes are inclusive. The Council is comprised of employees from across the organization who work on projects that aim to increase diversity in recruiting, advance employees of color internally and amplify voices and challenges so that everyone is heard and feels a sense of belonging at BuzzFeed Inc.

BuzzFeed Inc. currently has 5 ERGs with chapters in several BuzzFeed office locations. Our ERGs work hard to create affinity communities, celebrate heritage months and generate awareness around important issues impacting BuzzFeeders.

A*Family

BuzzFeed Inc.’s Asian American ERG A*FAMILY exists to explore Asian American communities/cultures, support BuzzFeed Inc. business objectives, and drive employee satisfaction/retention. We accomplish this by planning internal/external programming, providing resources for business initiatives, and maintaining online/offline social opportunities. Also boba.

B.I.O.

Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive culture that showcases black identities. We foster a space for elevated conversations and lead organizational events that empower staff and serve local and global communities all while being aligned to BuzzFeed Inc.’s business objectives.

Mi Gente

Mi Gente creates a community and advocates for Latinx* employees to provide professional development and management opportunities in order to impact change within BuzzFeed Inc. and beyond.

OUT

OUT strives to establish a foundation of diversity, inclusion, and belonging for members of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies--within and beyond BuzzFeed Inc. Our programming is aimed to promote education, awareness, and professional growth through events, outreach, and giving back to our community.

Parents

BF Parents seeks to provide a sense of support and community for all parents, expecting parents, and those thinking about becoming parents in the future. We will achieve this through fostering community events for both parents and the greater BuzzFeed Inc. community, leading educational initiatives, and self-advocating for BuzzFeed Inc. to strengthen its support for parents. We will do this while maintaining a spirit of fun and inclusion, because we recognize the many challenges of parenting that go alongside all of its rewards.

Our Interview Process

Here's what you can expect once you apply for a job at BuzzFeed Inc.

1 Application Stage

Head to our BuzzFeed Inc. jobs page to view open roles. Even if you don’t meet every requirement listed in a job description that doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear from you. If you think you’d be a good fit for the job anyway, use your application to show us why! If a role isn’t currently open, we encourage you to apply for future consideration.

2 Application Review

Our recruiting team will review your application to see if it’s a good match for the position. Regardless of the outcome, you will hear back following your application with an update on your application status.

3 Recruiter Screen

This is an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to learn more about us. A recruiter will reach out to schedule time to discuss the role and your interest in BuzzFeed Inc. – and communicate detailed process expectations.

4 Team Interview

At this stage of the interview process, you will have an opportunity to meet with the hiring manager and potential colleagues. Depending on the position, you may also be asked to present a take-home exercise to the team or be scheduled to meet with the leader of the department.

6 New Hire Onboarding

Once you’ve accepted the offer, our recruiting team will provide you with all of the information you need to know about BuzzFeed Inc.’s new hire onboarding process. As part of our onboarding process, you may go through a background check where local law permits such checks.
