John Malkovich, Gemma Chan, Sofia Boutella and “Euphoria” co-star Hunter Schafer have all joined “Luz” writer/director Tilman Singer’s new horror film “Cuckoo” at NEON. Muppets Haunted Mansion
Darren Criss have revealed himself as one of the first stars of the new original Halloween special “Muppets Haunted Mansion” coming this Fall to the Disney+ service.

The story follows Gonzo on Halloween night, as he is challenged to spend one night in The Haunted Mansion. Criss, who performed on stage with Miss Piggy this past weekend, has been cast as the Caretaker. [Source: Twitter]

Me Time
Regina Hall (“Perfect Strangers,” “Black Monday”) is set to join Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg in John Hamburg’s feature comedy “Me Time” at Netflix.

Hart plays a stay-at-home dad who finds himself with some ‘me time’ for the first time in years while his wife and kids are away. He reconnects with his former best friend (Wahlberg) for a wild weekend that nearly upends his life. [Source: Black Film]

Untitled George Foreman Biopic
Michael K. Williams has joined Khris Davis and Sullivan Jones in George Tillman Jr.’s untitled biopic of two-time world heavyweight champion George Foreman. Williams plays Foreman’s trainer and mentor Doc Broadus.

The story will follow the remarkable life and times of Foreman from Olympic Gold medalist to World Heavyweight champion, the Rumble in the Jungle fight, to preacher, to regaining the heavyweight champion at 45. [Source: Deadline]

The Menu
Judith Light has joined Anya Taylor-Joy, Ralph Fiennes, Nicholas Hoult, Hong Chau, John Leguizamo and Janet McTeer in the dark comedy “The Menu” at Searchlight Pictures.

Mark Mylod (“Succession”) is directing the project which follows a young couple who travels to a remote island to eat at an exclusive restaurant where the chef has prepared a lavish menu – and some surprises. Will Tracy and Seth Reiss wrote the script. [Source Variety]
