Paramount and Spyglass Media’s fifth “Scream” film managed to pull in $3.5 million in Thursday night previews.
The well-reviewed feature is on pace to gross $30 million over the holiday weekend – thanks in part to both the good reception, and a fanbase that is likely to make the trip to cinemas despite the highly contagious omicron variant.
The film cost $25 million to produce and sees Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett take over directorial duties from Wes Craven.
