HBO Max

James Gunn’s “Peacemaker” series has debuted on HBO Max and the most talked about element from the first few episodes released has been the stellar opening credits sequence.

Set to Norweigian glam metal band Wig Wam’s 2010 single “Do You Wanna Taste It,” the dance number is pure joy and can be seen below.

The filmmaker, currently still early into the shooting of the third “Guardians,” recently confirmed to THR he wants to do a second season of the series but sometime after a break. Gunn filmed “The Suicide Squad,” “Peacemaker: Season 1,” and the third “Guardians” almost back-to-back.

Meanwhile the show’s first season has scored fairly solid reviews, pulling in a 69/100 on Metacritic. That’s a strong number compared to other recent high profile launches like “1883” (69), “Hawkeye” (66), “MacGruber” (62), “The Book of Boba Fett” (59), “The Wheel of Time” (55), and “And Just Like That” (55).

“Peacemaker” will continue airing episodes weekly on HBO Max.
