Paramount Pictures have announced plans for an untitled live-action comedy hailing from the producing team of “South Park” creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker along with musician Kendrick Lamar.
Frequent “South Park” writer-producer Vernon Chatman penned the film which follows a young black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum. He soon discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.
Paramount will be handling theatrical distribution, home entertainment, and television licensing rights, with the film’s streaming to be exclusive to the Paramount+ service.
Production is scheduled to begin in the spring, but no cast or director is presently attached.
