Chief Executive Officer

Neil Vogel is the CEO of Dotdash, having assumed the role in April 2013.

Before joining Dotdash, Neil was the Founder and CEO of Recognition Media, a creator and producer of award shows and media properties for digital, creative, and advertising communities including the Webby Awards, Internet Week NY and Europe, the Netted.net daily email, and The Telly Awards.

Prior to Recognition Media, Neil was Chief Corporate Development Officer at Alloy Media + Marketing, a digital content and marketing services company focused on the teen and youth market. Neil serves as a venture partner at FirstMark Capital. Neil also serves on the board of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Neil received a B.S. in Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Tim Quinn

Chief Financial Officer & Head of Strategy

Tim is the Chief Financial Officer of Dotdash and joined the company in January 2015. Prior to joining Dotdash, Tim was CFO of Axial, an online professional network that helps entrepreneurs and small businesses access capital.

Tim spent more than a decade with American Express where he was a Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations at Vente Privee USA, an e-commerce joint venture between American Express and Vente-Privee Europe. Tim spent the majority of his time at American Express as a Vice President in the Corporate Development Group where he sourced, executed and monitored equity investments and M&A transactions.

Tim started his career in middle market investment banking at Ladenburg Thalmann and prior to that in private equity at Wade Capital. Tim graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.S. degree in Commerce.

Alex Ellerson

Chief Operating Officer

Alex Ellerson is the Chief Operating Officer of Dotdash. Before joining Dotdash, Alex served as the General Counsel & COO at Howcast. Prior to joining Howcast, Alex was the Head of Entertainment and Premium Content Partnerships for Google Video and YouTube, and earlier, a General Manager and Senior Director of Business Development at Yahoo! (working on both Yahoo’s Media and Entertainment and Search teams).

He was also the COO & General Counsel for CMJ, an Associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore, and a law clerk to The Honorable Amalya L. Kearse (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit).

Alex holds a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and a B.A. from Swarthmore College. He is also a member of the Planning Committee of the NY Chapter of The Copyright Society of the USA.

Nabil Ahmad

Chief Technology Officer

Nabil Ahmad is the Chief Technology Officer for Dotdash. Before joining Dotdash in 2013, Nabil worked at Barnes & Noble serving as the head of technology for BarnesAndNoble.com. A career long engineer, Nabil’s experience includes consulting during the dotcom boom, working at healthcare services and media companies, and being the first employee and head of technology at Kwiry Inc., a venture-backed mobile startup.

Nabil received his B.A. in Molecular Cell Biology, with emphasis in Cell Developmental Biology, from the University of California at Berkeley.

Andrew Gorenstein

President, Advertising & Partnerships

Andrew Gorenstein is the President of Advertising & Partnerships for Dotdash and joined the company in December 2016. Before joining Dotdash, Andrew held executive roles as the President of Media & Advertising and Chief Revenue Officer for Gawker Media, where he led the revenue team and created an award-winning product suite to sell across their multiple vertical brands. Prior to Gawker Media, Andrew held sales leadership roles at Condé Nast and Forbes.

Andrew has worked aggressively to accelerate, and ultimately redefine and align the relationship between advertisers, brands and publishers. In 2013, Andrew was named one of AdAge’s 40 under 40.

Andrew received his B.A. degree in History from Boston University.

Tory Brangham

Chief Commerce Officer

Tory Brangham is the Chief Commerce Officer at Dotdash.

Previously, Tory worked as a Director of Merchandising at Quidsi/Amazon as well as Managing Director of iVillage/iVillage UK. Tory brings over two decades of experience in ecommerce and editorial content. During her tenure at Amazon, Tory oversaw a variety of businesses including children’s apparel, toys, and pets. The clothing/soft goods category, launched from scratch, grew to over $30MM in revenue in just two years.

Tory initially joined Dotdash as General Manager of The Spruce, overseeing the development and launch of the site, which is now one of the largest home and food sites on the Internet.

Meredith Worsham

SVP, Communications

Meredith Worsham is the Senior Vice President of Communications for Dotdash. Meredith has been with the company for over ten years, working her way up from Account Coordinator to now Vice President, where she oversees media relations, communications strategy development, internal and external communications and special events for one of the fastest-growing digital media companies and its vertical brands.

Previously, Meredith held various public relations roles at MSL, a leading PR Agency in New York, and worked on healthcare accounts including Sanofi Aventis, Allergan and Phillips Healthcare.

Meredith holds a B.A. in Communications with a minor in History from Elon University in North Carolina.

Rob Brathwaite is the Senior Vice President of Infrastructure & Security at Dotdash.

Starting at the company in 1996, he is the longest tenured team member. Robert has been instrumental to bringing about meaningful change at Dotdash over the past two decades.

Robert holds both a B.S.c and M.S.c in Information Systems and Management from New York University.

Chief Product Officer

Adam McClean is the Chief Product Officer at Dotdash and joined the company in 2014. Prior to joining the company, he was the Director of Product at Waybetter, Inc. Previously, he held roles at Barnes and Noble and Condé Nast Publications. Adam brings more than a decade of experience in start-ups, e-commerce, and premium publishing to Dotdash.

Prior to Dotdash, Tre was VP of search marketing at Everyday Health. Tre holds a Masters of Business Administration from the NYU Stern School of Business and has a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

DeLonzo Rhodes is the Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Dotdash.

Previously, DeLonzo was the Head of Employee Experience at the Museum of Modern Art, where he led talent management and inclusion strategy. He brings over 15 years of experience in human resources and DEI in roles across retail, technology and higher education.

DeLonzo holds a B.A. in English Literature and Language from Indiana University.

Colleen Gangl is the SVP of People at Dotdash, joining the company in 2018.

Colleen brings over 15 years of experience in her field across multiple industries including retail, technology and digital media. At Dotdash she is responsible for all areas of the People function including talent acquisition, talent development, business partnering and people operations. She is dedicated to partnering with her colleagues to cultivate a working environment that allows team members to do their best work.

Colleen received her Masters in Human Resource Management from Rutgers University and has a BA in Art History from the University of Delaware.

Sara Badler

SVP, Advertising & Partnerships, CRO, Enterprise

Sara Badler is the SVP of Advertising & Partnerships, CRO, Enterprise, at Dotdash and joined the company in February 2018.

Before joining Dotdash, Sara was head of Programmatic Advertising at The New York Times, where she managed a programmatic team globally, focusing on revenue working with direct clients, partners and exchanges.

Sara started her career in Shanghai, China, where she worked in Ad Tech at JOININ Tech for more than three years specifically focused on programmatic TV. From there, she went on to manage programmatic at Forbes Media and Hearst Corporation. Sara’s focus has always been in Ad Tech both on the publishing side and technology side. She also worked at Turn where she led inventory partnerships across the east coast.

Sara holds a B.A. in American and Women’s Studies from Dickinson College.

Brandon Millard

Chief Growth Officer

Brandon Millard is the Chief Growth Officer for Dotdash and joined the company in April 2015.

Brandon oversees a team of content strategists, growth analysts, editors, illustrators, and photographers dedicated to improving publishing processes and content quality.

Prior to Dotdash, Brandon was the Director of Search Strategy for Ayima, a digital marketing agency, where he led enterprise consulting relationships with large publishers and e-commerce platforms. Brandon has worked in digital marketing and growth for the past 15 years as a startup founder, an in-house leader, and a consultant.

Brandon received a B.S. in Business from Wake Forest University.

Patrice Sosoo

SVP, Brand Marketing

Patrice Sosoo is the Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at Dotdash, having assumed the role in September 2020. Previously, Patrice led global brand, design and innovation at American Express where she worked on a team responsible for rebranding the company for today’s modern and digitally savvy audience and rolling out a new brand platform and visual identity in 160 countries.

She has over 10 years of experience in brand development, strategy and marketing at Elle magazine, InStyle, De Beers Diamond Jewellers and leading a luxury digital practice with clients that included: Gucci, St. Regis Hotels and 7 For All Mankind.

Patrice joined Dotdash as the Vice President of Licensing, overseeing development, manufacturing and partnerships that turned The Spruce into a household brand with multiple home and lifestyle collections including The Spruce Best Home Paint Collection and The Spruce Waterless Pet Wash. Patrice holds a B.S. in International Relations and a minor in Economics from St. John’s University.

Before joining the company in 2015, Ricky ran digital operations at Condé Nast Traveler and led product strategy for Rodale’s in-house content marketing agency. An award-winning digital leader, Ricky brings 15 years of experience in product, editorial and UXD to the table.

Jeff Hartwig

General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Jeff Hartwig is the General Counsel & Corporate Secretary for Dotdash.

Before joining Dotdash, Jeff spent six years at Dow Jones & Company, Inc. where he served as counsel to the digital and print production groups of The Wall Street Journal and its affliated publications. Prior to joining Dow Jones, Jeff was an associate attorney at the international law firm of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, providing legal counsel to emerging businesses on their financing, intellectual property and general corporate matters.

Jeff holds a JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.A. degree in French from San Francisco State University.

Vincent Holleran

SVP, Executive Creative Director

Vincent Holleran is the SVP, Executive Creative Director at Dotdash and joined the company in 2014. Prior to joining Dotdash, he served as an Art Director for Marketing and Brand Creative at J.Crew. Previously, he held design lead roles at Gilt Groupe and Condé Nast Publications. A career-long designer, Vincent brings two decades of advertising, brand identity, e-commerce, and publishing experience to Dotdash.

Vincent holds a B.F.A. in Art Media Studies and Art Photography from Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts.

Dr. Jon Roberts

President, Health

Dr. Jon Roberts oversees the health media properties at Dotdash. He has been with Dotdash since 2013 and previously held roles as Chief Innovation Officer and Head of Data Science, where he derived insights from more than 20 years of Internet data across thousands of topics. Most recently he was the President of Dotdash Finance overseeing strategy for Investopedia and The Balance. Prior to joining Dotdash, Jon spent 10 years as a theoretical physicist focused on making dark matter predictions for the hadron collider at CERN, and cosmic ray predictions for the AMS detector on the International Space Station. He also worked on the Pierre Auger telescope in Argentina.

Dr. Roberts received his Ph.D at the University of Southampton and his M.A. from the University of Oxford.

Mélanie Berliet is SVP and General Manager of The Spruce Home, Pets, and Crafts. She has 15 years of experience creating, managing, and publishing lifestyle content across platforms.

Prior to joining Dotdash in 2018, Mélanie was the Chief Editorial Director of Thought Catalog, where she led a team of 20 staff writers and managed all strategic partnerships, acting as the bridge between the editorial and sales departments. She has worked as a producer and writer for brands including MTV, Vanity Fair, Elle, New York Magazine, The Atlantic, Cosmopolitan, Salon, Esquire, Maxim, and iHeartRadio. Mélanie earned a B.A. in Political Economy from Georgetown University.

Rachel Berman

Rachel Berman is SVP & General Manager of Verywell Fit, Family & Mind. She has been with the company since 2011 and was part of the leadership team that conceptualized and launched the Verywell brand. She oversees the content and business strategies for Verywell Fit, Verywell Family, and Verywell Mind. Rachel is a registered dietitian and a go-to expert in the field of nutrition with several media appearances on the Today Show and many other outlets. Rachel is a published author of two books, “Boosting Your Metabolism for Dummies” and “Mediterranean Diet for Dummies.” 

Rachel received her bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from Cornell University and completed her dietetic internship at Northwell Health in New York.

Sara Michael is Vice President and General Manager of Verywell Health. Previously, she was Senior Director of Content Integrity at Dotdash. Before joining Dotdash in 2019, she led content integrity initiatives at Healthline Media. Previously, she was VP of Content at a healthcare content publisher and was named a “director-level doer” in Folio Magazine’s 2016 Top Women in Media Awards. Sara started her career as a daily newspaper reporter and has worked as a digital editor and freelance writer.

Sara received an M.S. in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and a B.A. in magazine journalism from Boston University.

Molly Fergus

VP & GM, Lifestyle Group

Molly Fergus is Vice President and General Manager, Lifestyle Group and oversees all content and business strategies for TripSavvy, TreeHugger and Thoughtco.

Molly has dedicated her career to the digital travel space. Before joining Dotdash, she was an associate digital editor for Condé Nast Traveler, where she helped launch the magazine’s first proprietary website and an editorial assistant at Sherman’s Travel. Her first gig after college gave her the first-hand experience needed to work in travel: She spent a year driving across the country in the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile, living in hotels, and exploring the backroads of America. Her writing has also appeared in Self, Redbook, Women’s Wear Daily, and CNN.

Tim Fisher

Tim Fisher is Vice President and General Manager of Lifewire. In addition to serving as GM of Lifewire, Tim has written much of the content on the site and has for more than a decade.

Tim has been professionally installing and servicing technology for over 30 years and writing about it for over 20. Prior to leading and writing for Lifewire, Tim was a Systems Engineer for Target Corporation. Before that he sold, installed, and serviced networking equipment for a small telecommunications company. Tim is also a technology consultant, focusing on small and medium-sized businesses. He is the author of Windows 8 Basics in 30 Minutes.

Tim attended Emporia State University in the US where he completed courses in computer science and business technology.

Eric Handelsman is SVP and General Manager of The Spruce Eats, Serious Eats, Simply Recipes and Liquor.com, where he oversees the brand from content and marketing strategy to product and technical development. He has spent his career working at media companies across a variety of roles from FP&A to operations management.

Before joining Dotdash in 2013, Eric spent 10 years working in lifestyle media at Condé Nast where he led operations and finance for various brands including Epicurious, Gourmet, and Brides.com. Prior to Conde Nast, he worked in the business department at the New York Press, as well as in commercial and TV production.

Eric received a B.S. in economics from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Lauren Silbert is Vice President and General Manager of The Balance. Lauren was named a “Corporate Champion” in Folio Magazine’s 2019 Top Women in Media Awards. She also appears in print, broadcast and streaming media as a personal finance and careers commentator and expert.

Lauren has been with the company since 2015, previously as Head of Programmatic Operations overseeing revenue generation and systems operations for all Dotdash brands. Prior to Dotdash, Lauren spent five years in content marketing developing solutions for brands like P&G and Kellogg’s.

Elspeth Velten is General Manager of Simply Recipes and Serious Eats. Previously she was the Editorial Director of Dotdash's Beauty & Style Group. Prior, Elspeth spent time in the travel world as a founding editor of TripSavvy, Dotdash’s travel brand, and editor at Luxury Escapes, an Australian eCommerce site based in Melbourne.

Elspeth landed in the fashion closet at Time Inc. after college, where she spent two years learning the editorial ropes. Her writing has appeared in the New York Times, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Playboy and International and Australian Traveller. She graduated with a degree in Communications and Journalism from Fordham University.

Leah Wyar

SVP & GM, Beauty & Style Group

Leah Wyar is SVP and General Manager of Byrdie and Brides. Leah has nearly 20 years of experience in media and is a veteran beauty expert with numerous appearances on television shows such as Today and Good Morning America. She was a judge on season two of Lifetime’s American Beauty Star.

Before joining Dotdash this year, Leah was the chief beauty director of Hearst, where she oversaw the content for 12 brands including Cosmopolitan, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Women’s Health, bringing trends, news, and solutions to more than 20 million women every month. She also covered the beauty and wellness circuit for Fitness, Self, and Health. Leah graduated with a BA in Psychology from Susquehanna University, and lives in New York City.

Dylan Zurawell

Dylan Zurawell is SVP and General Manager of Dotdash’s Finance Group. As GM, Dylan oversees Investopedia's strategy and operations. He has been with Investopedia since 2011 and previously held roles in product, technology, operations, and marketing prior to becoming Investopedia’s GM.

Dylan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Alberta.

Katherine Divney

Katherine Divney is the Chief Revenue Officer for the Finance Group.

Prior to joining Dotdash in 2019, she led revenue teams at Seeking Alpha, The Wall Street Journal Digital and MarketWatch. Her more than twenty years in digital media year career began in media planning at Digitas, and inside sales at Yahoo!. Katherine sits on the Executive Board of Directors for the non-profit Financial Communications Society.

Katherine earned degrees in History & Psychology from Boston College.

Craig Haines is the Chief Revenue Office for Verywell, having assumed the role in April 2018. Prior, Craig held leadership roles at Everyday Health and Novartis. Craig has over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, leading sales and partnerships at top publishers and pharmaceutical companies. He is a go-to thought leader in the pharma field, with several media appearances on MM&M and other health media outlets.

Craig received a BA in Biological Sciences from The University of Pittsburgh and his MBA from St. Joseph's University.

Vice President, Beauty and Style Group

Melissa Guy is the Vice President, Beauty and Style Group (Byrdie and Brides) at Dotdash.

Prior to joining Dotdash, Melissa was Vice President of Beauty and Wellness at Refinery29 where she helped build their Represent Diversity Platform. Before Refinery, she spent a decade at Hearst as their Executive Director while working on Cosmopolitan and the launch of Cosmo for Latinas.

Melissa currently resides in Holmdel NJ with her husband Tom, two kids, Mya and Mason and Golden Retriever Alfie. She continues to champion opportunities to support underserved communities through purposeful content partnerships rooted in diversity and inclusion.
