What we're about
The Ottawa WordPress Group is all about learning WordPress, for beginners and experts alike!
Do you want to learn about WordPress? Do you have a WordPress blog or site, or use WordPress at work? Would you like to talk to others about WordPress? Do you need to know more about how to run your site?
There are 2 meeting tracks:
1) The "General" track, usually meets the first Wednesday of the month. This track includes beginner WordPress topics and general topics like SEO. No experience with WordPress is required for these talks.
2) The "Not Beginner" track, occasionally meets on select Wednesdays of some months. This series is all the talks that cover anything that is "not beginner". Talks in this series will range from not very advanced at all - just barely above beginner - to deep dive dev talks. Anyone at any experience level is welcome to attend, but some prior knowledge of WordPress is expected at "not beginner" talks.
Most meetings are presentations that do not require you to bring a laptop. Meetings that are "Workshops" will generally require that you have laptop, and we will have WiFi available. If laptops are needed it will be noted in the description.
We're always looking for speakers/presenters, no speaking experience required, and you don't need to be a WordPress expert. All that is needed is a willingness to share about WordPress, or a WordPress related topic. If you would like to present at an upcoming meetup, please let us know.

"Not Beginner" series:

This is a meetup in our "Not Beginner" series. This series includes anything that is, well, not a beginner/introductory level topic. Thus, talks in this series will range from not very advanced at all - just barely above beginner - to deep dive dev talks.
Anyone at any experience level is welcome to attend, but for "not beginner" talks there will be an assumption in the presentations and discussion that attendees have some knowledge of WordPress, and/or the presented topic.
