Pretty good, a bit pricey

Pretty good, a bit pricey, doesn't bombard you with useless additional services, UX could use some streamlining, never needed their support

I just experienced a critical error of…

I just experienced a critical error of my Wordpress website hosted by Gandi. They send me a very detailed message about my problem in less of 5 minutes after my email. Very professional and serious !

Valère is helpful and resourceful

Valère, the support person, has helped to decide between Gandicloud VPS and Gandi Cloud server. The person is very helpful, patience and resourceful too. Going ahead with Cloud VPS. Great support with less waiting time.

Gandi.net is one of the best Domain registrars

Gandi.net is one of the best Domain registrars I've seen. Gandi domain registration is much fast and their Support is also helpful and fast! The only thing is the prices of a few domain names like .io are more than other places like NameChip. But Gandi provides many payment options like Crypto Payments and they also supports Prepaid Cards unlike others.

Lovely help

I had enormous and insurmountable difficulties transferring three domain names from myself to a local society. Ionut steered me through, patiently, and did most of the work, for which I am very grateful.

Slow and unhelpful support

I recently changed hosting services and had to change the nameservers for my domain. The next day, my Gandi Mail accounts stopped receiving email, so I tried to contact support to help resolve the issue. Not only did they take over 24 hours to reply (by then I had managed to resolve the issue on my own) but they gave me a completely unhelpful response. Seriously considering changing domain hosts as well after this experience.

Edited to add: I had no idea that live chat was even an option! So many websites now have the live chat on the corner of every single page—there are no obvious links in the main account page or the support pages. I was only able to see the chat window after clicking on the links Céline provided in her reply, and also when I went to the contact page and clicked on the link to "book a telephone consultation"

Quick response and solution to problems!

The worst of the worst

The worst of the worst. Not because they are particularly terrible, they are substandard for a registrar for sure, but the thing that really stands out is their marketing around "No Bullsh*t" (they have a whole page full of promises, check it out) which I've come to believe is them trolling their customers. It's sadistic. Their support is far harder to get in contact with than any other registrar I've ever worked with. Their only option for urgent/phone support costs $160/call. If they broke something and your entire business is down - YOU ARE SCREWED. You can send an email in to the void and maybe they'll get back to you at some point in the future, but you'll never know because even their automated ticketing system is broken. Does this sound like "No Bullsh*t" to you? What an absolute joke.

We apologize for the frustration and inconvenience caused by your recent experience with our services.
As mentioned by Jeremie in his reply to the support request you opened yesterday (#14480614), your domain name was incorrectly in clientHold status at the Registry, which is why the DNS was not resolving. Within hours of you making us aware of the issue our specialists contacted the Registry and had the clientHold lifted right away. We tested it, and can now confirm that your website is now available again online.
As far as getting in touch with our Customer Care team goes, support via LiveChat is currently available in the Support section of your account. The phone advisory service of $160 you cited is not for technical support. Rather, it's a personalized, business strategy advisory service to help customers with their business goals:

We don't offer technical phone support except for cases that cannot be resolved over chat or email since, in many cases, we need to provide links to pages, something that obviously cannot be done over the phone.
We are still investigating why you did not receive either of the automated confirmations which were sent to your email address when you submitted both of your support requests. Since we have not received reports of this behavior from any other customers, it seems likely that it is an isolated incident.
I hope this information helps clarify the situation.

LIVE chat support 100% from 'Ionut'.

I was experiencing difficulties with transferring of domains into a different Gandi account. I went onto the LIVE chat feature and 'Ionut' was so patient and helpful. He took time to instruct me through processes and to highlight where I was making errors in order for the actions to fail. I have not used the LIVE chat previously with Gandi and so can not talk about other advisors but my experience with 'Ionut' was 100% commendable. The customer service experience that I received was excellent. I sincerely hope that he gets a pat on the back as he deserves that and more.

Great Customer Support!

Gandi's customer support rep Ilana was one of the most helpful people I've ever spoken to. She immediately found my problem and figured it out, making my life MUCH easier when I thought I was being scammed by a phishing email from somebody else. It's so nice to talk to somebody who knows what they're doing and can find information quickly!
