Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy

Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy is an enterprise writer for the USA Today Network Northeast, focusing on women and power. She previously served as a member of The Journal News/lohud.com editorial board as an engagement editor. Before that, she covered education enterprise for the newspaper. Born in Mumbai, Swapna grew up there, and received a bachelor's in economics and sociology from St. Xavier's College. She has two master’s degrees, one in sociology from the University of Bombay, and another in journalism from New York University. Swapna came to The Journal News from The Home News Tribune, a Gannett daily based in East Brunswick, New Jersey.
