On November 8, 1999, the Federal Trade Commission and Department of Commerce jointly convened a workshop on Online Profiling . Four representatives of the Network Advertising Initiative ("NAI") appeared on Session III, "The Role of Self-Regulation" and gave the following testimony of behalf of NAI.The testimony outlines NAI's commitment to consumers and presages the group's self-regulatory principles.
